Ron Hill is in his 8th year as Pratt Community College’s Head Softball Coach. During five years at PCC, the Beavers have won 276 games, a second place team finish in the Jayhawk West, and two League Championships. PCC’s softball team also has produced 22 All-Region and two All-Americans during his tenure.
Hill, a native of Colorado, previously served as an assistant coach at Colorado Northwestern College for the baseball and basketball teams. He then was promoted to serve as the Head Softball and Volleyball Coach, which he did for six years. During his tenure at CNCC, he transformed a team that had never won a conference game into a team that was a nationally ranked contender. His teams averaged 30 wins per season and achieved two regional runner-up finishes. Hill also developed 30 All-Region players and six All-Americans while at CNCC, and placed every player who wanted to continue her playing career in a four-year program.
Following his tenure at CNCC, Hill served as a football and baseball coach at Rangely High School, while he pursued his Master’s degree. He continued his winning ways with three Final 16 finishes in state competition and one League Championship.
Coach Hill earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Mesa State College and his Master’s degree in Education and Curriculum at Colorado Christian University.
Coach Hill and his wife, Dee, have one daughter, Brittnee.
