Women’s Soccer Remains Undefeated with Dodge Win

 Coming off a conference win on Friday, the PCC Women’s Soccer Team squared off in a non-conference match on Tuesday. This was PCC’s first contest at their temporary home pitch in Havilland, KS, and the win moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Lady Beaver Soccer Team Nets Historic Win

The Lady Beaver Soccer Team opened their inaugural season with a victory over Independence on Friday afternoon. Pratt defeated their Jayhawk Conference opponent 2-1.  Alycia Reed scored the historic first goal for Pratt's women's soccer program, taking a cross from Tanya Morales.

PCC XC SOLID IN SEASON OPENER AT COWLEY

The Pratt Community College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams started their season off Friday, August 27, with a solid opening meet at Camp Quaker Haven in Cowley County. Both the PCC Men and Women are currently running with limited numbers, but should have five runners by the time Region VI rolls around in early November.
 

Men's Soccer Opens with Win over Indy

The Pratt Community College Men’s Soccer Team opened their 2010 campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win against Independence Community College on Friday. Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the halftime whistle. Pratt had several other excellent scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize on any of them.

Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Opening Tournament

It was a somewhat auspicious beginning for the 2010 Beaver volleyball squad, as the freshman laden team went 2-2 over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado. Pratt defeated Clarendon (TX) and Sheridan (WY), but lost to #21 Laramie County (WY) and Western Wyoming.

Rodeo

Pratt Community College’s Rodeo Program is a vital part of the college’s Agriculture Department. The team participates in the Central Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Pratt is host to one of the largest college rodeos in the state each October.

Rocky Patterson wins World Championship Steer Roping Title

GUTHRIE, Okla. – Winning the 10th round at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping was nice, but Rocky Patterson was convinced after action had concluded at the Lazy E Arena that he would be returning to his Pratt, Kansas home with a second place finish.

A few friends of his weren’t so sure.

PCC Rodeo Week

Rodeo week has been full of activities for everyone!  From the rodeo demonstration to the Community Fall Fest, there were events for all ages.  We invite you to round out the weekend by enjoying some of the finest college rodeo action in the state.
 

Pro barrel racer joins PCC rodeo staff

For about as long as she can remember, Amy Prather has called herself a barrel racer. Now she can call herself a rodeo coach as well, after joining the Pratt Community College rodeo staff last month.
 
Prather, a 2006 graduate of PCC, will work with Pratt’s entire women’s team, though she says most of her experience is in barrel racing.

Pratt Community College will have 15 students hauling to Kansas State University this weekend for the rodeo. The rodeo will start Friday morning with slack and run through the Sunday short-go.
