Women’s Soccer Remains Undefeated with Dodge Win

 Coming off a conference win on Friday, the PCC Women’s Soccer Team squared off in a non-conference match on Tuesday. This was PCC’s first contest at their temporary home pitch in Havilland, KS, and the win moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Lady Beaver Soccer Team Nets Historic Win

The Lady Beaver Soccer Team opened their inaugural season with a victory over Independence on Friday afternoon. Pratt defeated their Jayhawk Conference opponent 2-1.  Alycia Reed scored the historic first goal for Pratt's women's soccer program, taking a cross from Tanya Morales.

PCC XC SOLID IN SEASON OPENER AT COWLEY

The Pratt Community College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams started their season off Friday, August 27, with a solid opening meet at Camp Quaker Haven in Cowley County. Both the PCC Men and Women are currently running with limited numbers, but should have five runners by the time Region VI rolls around in early November.

The Pratt Community College Men’s Soccer Team opened their 2010 campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win against Independence Community College on Friday. Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the halftime whistle. Pratt had several other excellent scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize on any of them.

Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Opening Tournament

It was a somewhat auspicious beginning for the 2010 Beaver volleyball squad, as the freshman laden team went 2-2 over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado. Pratt defeated Clarendon (TX) and Sheridan (WY), but lost to #21 Laramie County (WY) and Western Wyoming.

PCC launches its first year of soccer with the hiring of men's head coach Kevin Kewley.  Kevin brings with him not only a wealth of playing experience, but coaching as well.  After playing professionally for 18 years, Kewley went on to coach the Wichita Wings and then continued his career coaching in club soccer.
Pratt competes in the competitive Jawhawk Conference with 11 other schools in the conference.

PCC Soccer Pitch Takes Shape

It won’t be long before the PCC campus will inaugurate the first PCC soccer field. Construction began this week when Simpson Dirt Construction of Pratt began carving a new pitch directly east of the PCC Rodeo Arena. Both men’s and women’s team will begin play at the new facility this fall, with the women having their first home match on Tuesday, August 31<

PCC Hires Kewley for New Men’s Soccer Program

Pratt Community College has hired former professional soccer player and coach Kevin Kewley to inaugurate the Men’s Soccer Team in the fall of 2010. Kewley will assume full responsibilities immediately.

Pratt mens soccer team opened the season with a hard fought 1-0 win against ICC on Friday 8/27/10 . Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the half-time whistle . Pratt had many chances to increase the lead in the second half , but couldn't quite increase their lead . However we are delighted with historic win .

The men's soccer team took on Division II Newman University on Thursday, looking ready for Jayhawk play despite a 2-1 loss.

Men's Soccer Scores Five in Barclay Scrimmage Victory

Pratt CC Men's Soccer Team played the first of two pre-season scrimmages on Tuesday against Barclay College, and opened up with a nice 5-1 victory. Scoring for the Beavers were David Coulter (two goals), Jon Henderson, Darren Callaghan and Matt Murray.  The Beavers will play their second and final pre-season scrimmage against Kansas Newman Jets on Thursday, August 19th at 6 p.m.
