Women’s Soccer Remains Undefeated with Dodge Win

 Coming off a conference win on Friday, the PCC Women’s Soccer Team squared off in a non-conference match on Tuesday. This was PCC’s first contest at their temporary home pitch in Havilland, KS, and the win moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Lady Beaver Soccer Team Nets Historic Win

The Lady Beaver Soccer Team opened their inaugural season with a victory over Independence on Friday afternoon. Pratt defeated their Jayhawk Conference opponent 2-1.  Alycia Reed scored the historic first goal for Pratt's women's soccer program, taking a cross from Tanya Morales.

PCC XC SOLID IN SEASON OPENER AT COWLEY

The Pratt Community College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams started their season off Friday, August 27, with a solid opening meet at Camp Quaker Haven in Cowley County. Both the PCC Men and Women are currently running with limited numbers, but should have five runners by the time Region VI rolls around in early November.
 

Men's Soccer Opens with Win over Indy

The Pratt Community College Men’s Soccer Team opened their 2010 campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win against Independence Community College on Friday. Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the halftime whistle. Pratt had several other excellent scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize on any of them.

Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Opening Tournament

It was a somewhat auspicious beginning for the 2010 Beaver volleyball squad, as the freshman laden team went 2-2 over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado. Pratt defeated Clarendon (TX) and Sheridan (WY), but lost to #21 Laramie County (WY) and Western Wyoming.

Men's Basketball

As a member of the tradition-rich Jayhawk West Conference, the PCC Men’s Basketball Team, through the guidance of Coach Trevor Rolfs, has established itself as an annual contender for the conference and regional championships. The coaching staff here at PCC prides themselves in their ability to recruit talented, quality individuals to represent the school and community. PCC Basketball also takes pride in molding their student-athletes into next-level caliber players on the court, and men ready for life off of it.

Pratt Community College's forward, Illiwa Baldwin, Brisbane, Australia, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at the University of Nevada beginning in 2010-11.
 

Baldwin Named to Men’s BB All-Conference Team

Illiwa Baldwin, the 6’10” Brisbane, Australia native, was named to the First Team All Jayhawk Western Division. Baldwin was the Western Division rebounding leader, averaging over 10 rebounds per game. While recognized for his dominating defensive presence, Baldwin was also the #11 scorer in the West, averaging 13.4 points/game.
 

Comeback Falls Short to End Men's BB Season

You could hardly script a more tense finish to a game than Pratt’s near comeback in the first round of the Jayhawk Tournament on Tuesday at Cowley.  In what was for the most part a one to four point game for the duration, Pratt had an excellent chance to win the game in the last seven seconds, but that shot wouldn’t fall, sending the Beavers home with a 69-70 loss.
