Club 62+ announces schedule of events for Spring 2019

Pratt Community College announces the Summer and Spring 2019 activity schedule for Club 62+ and invites eligible members of the public to participate. Club 62+ is a community organization for residents of Pratt, Kingman, Barber, Kiowa and Stafford counties who are 62 years of age and above.

There is no cost for membership in Club 62+ and benefits include access to exclusive programs and activities, free admission to home sporting events at the college, and waived tuition for any college course (fees and book costs still apply).

Susan Mayberry, coordinator of Club 62+ has released the schedule for the summer.

Spring 2019 Schedule

Dodge City Casino// Tuesday January 15 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. $10. Please RSVP by January 5 (Pay in advance)

Transportation will be provided to the casino in Dodge City for a day of fun. You will be responsible for your own lunch at the casino. We must have 20 or more people to make this trip possible.
 

Dillon Lecture Series: Dr. Rick Rigsby // Tuesday February 19 9 a.m.-4 p.m. $10 plus lunch. Please RSVP by Feb 5 (Pay in advance)

In celebration of Black History Month, the DLS will kick off the series with a dynamic speaker, Dr. Rick Rigsby. You may have seen online Dr. Rigsby’s video of his commencement speech at Cal State that went viral last year, now reaching over 200 million views. He spoke of the “Lessons from a Third Grade Dropout”, also the title of his best-selling book. Dr. Rigsby inspires and empowers his audience as he speaks of Character, Excellent Habits, and Making an Impact, just to name a few.  His latest book is “Afraid to Hope – Discovering the Courage to Dream Again”.

D-DAY NORMANDY 1944:  See on the giant screen, in the most creative and impressive way, how the fate of the present-day world was decided, not only on D-Day but months, even years before; not only on the beaches of Normandy but everywhere in the world, especially in England and North America.
 

Wichita Zoo// Tuesday April 16 9 a.m.-4 p.m. $10. Please RSVP by April 1 (Pay in advance)

Transportation to the Wichita Zoo. You will have free time to eat lunch or snack as a group or individually. Enjoy the day doing what you prefer.
