PCC Library Provides Laptops for Students

07 November 2014

In an effort to keep up with increasing demand for technology, the Linda Hunt Memorial Library / Learning Resource Center at Pratt Community College now has a laptop cart for patron use. The cart holds 15 Windows 8.1 laptops which can be checked out by students for studying or to use in class.

“With the increased student and class usage here in the Learning Resource Center, it was evident that we were in need of more computers,” said Sandra Wagner, Director of Learning Resources.

Check outs are available in hour increments and there is no charge to check out the laptops, though patrons will be required to leave a driver’s license or student ID with the library staff.

The equipment was purchased with funds from PCC’s Title III grant, which provided access to education technology and ended in September 2014.
