Friends University, Pratt Community College Sign Articulation Agreement

25 November 2014

Friends University is partnering with Pratt Community College on an articulation agreement that allows students to seamlessly transfer credits from PCC to Friends University.

“This agreement will allow a student who completes an associate's degree at PCC to be accepted as a College of Business, Arts, Sciences and Education student at Friends University,” said Dr. Darcy Zabel, interim president of Friends University. “It recognizes that PCC students have completed their general education requirements and are ready to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Friends.”

The articulation agreement was signed by Interim President Zabel and Dr. Mike Calvert, president of PCC, Nov. 11 at the Friends University campus in Wichita. The two institutions previously signed an articulation agreement last spring for PCC students who prefer to earn their bachelor’s degree by attending evening classes in the College of Adult and Professional Studies.

“We are excited to have this agreement in place with Friends University providing, yet another opportunity for PCC students for seamless transfer," said Dr. Mike Calvert, president at Pratt Community College. "Friends University has a strong academic reputation and commitment to student success.”

Pratt Community College is located in Pratt, Kansas. It offers both certificate and associate’s degrees and serves more than 3,000 students annually through on-campus and online classes.
