Move-In Day is Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Students that are new to PCC will move in from 9am-1pm.
Students who are returning to PCC will move in from 1pm-4pm.

Students may bring up to 4 guests to assist with moving into residence halls.

Step 1:
Enter at the South Entrance of HWY 61 and look for the “Beaver Check-In” sign near the welcome tent.

You will be guided to one of the two check-in stations located in the south parking lot…

KSN's Good Day Kansas crew out of Wichita visited the Electrical Power Technology (EPT) facility on campus.

EPT Director Phillip "Dave" Campbell spoke about the new EPT Support Specialist major that trains students on the ground, versus training aloft in the lineman training program. The Support Specialist major gives an overall view and training foundation that could lead to a job in six other occupations in electrical distribution.

Host Jillian Carroll attempted a pole climb with instruction from EPT instructor Jeff Hoffman.

If you follow us on social media, you've likely seen several pictures of students signing with the PCC Rodeo Team for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The students are pictured next to Jake Ritz. who has a long history in the Pratt community and joined PCC upon the retirement of decorated and long-time Rodeo coach Rocky Patterson in Spring 2022. We interviewed Coach Ritz to reintroduce him to the Pratt community.

PRATT, KAN. The process of electrical distribution happens around the clock and is dependent on many separate, yet equally important, entities working together without fail.

When power is restored after a storm, the public often looks to linemen in hard hats on poles and in bucket trucks in appreciation, and that is appropriate. But there are a great number of people behind the scenes and beyond that make it all happen.

Pratt Community College Board of Trustees member Stan Reimer was recognized by President Dr. Mike Calvert at the January 20th BOT meeting with a “Certificate of Appreciation” for his retirement this month from the Vernon Filley Art Museum.

Reimer has been the museum’s co-director and has served the museum for the past 20 years from the initial planning of the museum facility, fundraising, through its inception, and to-date.

A retirement celebration was held on Saturday, June 25 at the museum to acknowledge his dedication and work.

Pratt Community College is continually seeking ways to improve the work environment of its employees.

For a period of one year, PCC is adjusting its campus office hours of operation on Fridays from 8 am-12 noon.

Events and activities and/or scheduled classes may still take place on campus after 12 pm on Fridays, but campus offices will be closed in lieu of scheduled appointments.

PCC will revisit the updated hours of operation at the end of the one-year trial period to evaluate its effectiveness.
