Wildlife Photographer Displays Work in Gallery

01 September 2015

During September, the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College will feature the work of Nadia Marji, managing editor of Kansas Wildlife & Parks magazine. In her exhibit, Marji shares bird and wildlife snapshots from her travels across Kansas over the past three years.

“I believe that photographing wildlife is largely a matter of being hidden in the right place at the right time,” said Marji, who uses skills she has acquired as a hunter to capture her photos.

When she’s not traipsing through the Kansas outdoors, Nadia can be found typing away on her next “Accidental Huntress” column featured in Kansas Wildlife & Parks magazine and online at AccidentalHuntress.blogspot.com.

Nadia currently resides in Pratt with her fiancé, Jon, his two sons, Tyler and Dylan, and the family’s three Labrador retrievers Kota, Bella, and Zeke.

Marji’s exhibit can be viewed Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m, or by appointment. For more information or to be considered as a "Featured Artist of the Month,” contact Lisa Perez Miller at 620-672-3559 or lisam@prattcc.edu.
