Club 62+ Senior Program

What is Club 62+?

Club 62+ is a programming and discount service for senior citizens 62+ years of age in the Pratt Community College Service area of Pratt, Kiowa, Barber, Kingman, Harper, Comanche and Stafford counties. In addition to great programs exclusively for our members, such as casino trips, special speakers and murder mysteries, seniors may receive a discount card entitling them to:
 

  • One-half price admission to college athletic events
  • Tuition scholarships for all college courses
  • Free admission to college cultural events for which students are admitted free

Join Librarian Sandra Wagner on the PCC campus in Room 4 to explore the KanFind databases, which includes journals and articles on history and genealogy, health and medicine, military and government, and religion and philosophy. All are welcome to join us in the PCC cafeteria after the workshop. The cost for lunch is $5.35

Capt. Phillips in the Dillon Lecture Series
This Lecture Series is presented by Hutchinson Community College. Richard Phillips was the captain of the Maersk Alabama when it was taken hostage by Somali pirates in 2009. Phillips was held at gunpoint on a tiny lifeboat by the ruthless hijackers until his dramatic rescue at sea by Navy Seals. We will lunch afterwards at the Sirloin Stockade, and your lunch cost is up to you (Senior buffet is $7.49).

Botanica Wichita and Museum of World Treasures
We will visit the Botanica Gardens in Wichita, followed by lunch at Delano Barbecue Company (average entrée price is $6.25 – 8.95). We will stop at the Museum of World Treasures before returning to Pratt. Your lunch cost is up to you.

Join PCC Computer Specialists to learn the basics of computer operation. We will demonstrate email usage, Windows 7, Microsoft Word, and other fundamental uses for computer beginners. Join us on the PCC campus in Room 4.

Dr. Stelzner in the Dillon Lecture Series
This Lecture Series is presented by Hutchinson Community College. Dr. Steltzner was the Lead Landing Engineer of NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover project. For 10 years, he led the team of engineers that invented the pioneering landing system that spectacularly placed the Curiosity rover on the Martian surface. We will lunch afterwards, and your lunch cost is up to you

The Nutcracker Ballet
The Dodge City Community Concert Association presents this  classic tale with Tchaikovsky's score, performed by the New York Theatre Ballet. Ticketholders with the Pratt Community Concert Association receive free admission and pay $5 for the bus. Those who do not have season tickets pay $20 for both the single performance ticket and the bus ride. Dinner not provided.
