Basic Cold and Flu Information

So, you're feeling ill, with a fever and flu-like symptoms. How do you know when to call a doctor? Go visit your campus college health office, located in the student conference center, across from the bookstore. The nurse can help you make that decision and, if needed, set up an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner that comes to campus, or with a local doctor's office.

For more information about the flu, visit the CDC website here.

To update your flu vaccinations, Pratt has three locations which are able to administer vaccinations. They are:

  • Walmart: (620) 672-7525
  • Dillons Pharmacy:  (620) 672-5584
  • Pratt County Health Department  (620) 672-4135

There is also an annual flu shot clinic at Pratt Community College administered by Dillons Pharmacy, and set up by the College Health Nurse. Flyers are placed around campus the week before flu shots are available.

If you fear you may have the H1N1 Virus, or would like more information on the virus, download the brochure below for more information.
