PCC Honors Athletes

On May 2, Pratt Community College Athletic Department held a banquet to honor the student athletes who had received awards throughout the year.

The men's basketball team awarded Bryton Hobbs, St. Louis, Mo., for being the 2011-2012 Basketball All Conference Team Western Division Honorable Mention All Conference and 2012 Region VI Division I Men's All-Region Basketball Selections Honorable Mention.

Women's basketball players, Cari Guyton, Akron, Ohio, and Ann Pauly, Garden Plain, Kan., were named to the 2011-2012 Basketball All Conference Team Western Division and Honorable Mention All Conference.

The following men's soccer players named to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 2011 All-Academic Fall Sports Selections: David Coulter, Glasgow, England; Jon Henderson, Maize, Kan.; Landon Baker, Augusta, Kan.; Gary Rafferty, Glasgow, Scottland; Stephen Solademi, Birmingham, England; and Connor Rockett, Wichita.

The following women's soccer players named to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 2011 All-Academic Fall Sports Selections: Corrin Cook, Woodbury, Minn.; Jordan Biester, Rossville, Kan.; Lauren Randall, North Yorkshire, UK; Alyssa Kimkelaar, Salina, Kan; Alyssa Farrel, Maize, Kan.; Taylor Colgrove, Tonganoxie, Kan.; Kendra Walters, Tonganoxie, Kan.; Tori Shingleton, Wichita; and Kayci Huslig, Great Bend, Kan.

Cross country, Sage Bowman, Haviland, Kan.; and Alyssa Farrell, Maize, Kan., for being named as Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 2011 All-Academic Fall Sports Selections.

The following volleyball players named to the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference 2011 All-Academic Fall Sports Selections: Hannah Melichar, Pratt; Victoria Provencio, Derby, Kan.; Kylee Pywell, Plainville, Kan.; Shaylinn Kaus, Hoxie, Kan.; Leah McPherson, Pratt; and Sara Aloisio, Rome, Italy.

The following wrestlers were named to the 2012 KJCCC All Conference Wrestling Second Team: Taylor Baird, Pratt; Landon Keiswetter, Norton, Kan.; Levi Schnieder, Kanopolis, Kan.; and Keegan Smith, Goodland, Kan.

Corrin Cook, Woodbury, Minn.; and Chazz Samushonga, Glasgow, Scotland; were named PCC male and female sophomore athletes of the year.

Not all the coaches were able to give out all of their awards since their seasons aren't over, or the winners haven't been named.
