Performing Arts students travel to Tennessee
On May 10, 16 members of the Performing Arts Department left Pratt and headed to Tennessee to celebrate another successful semester. The group met with PCC graduate Kellye Pritchett Huesman in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., before enjoying Dolly Parton’s Dollywood. The group spent the next few days enjoying the entertainment there before exploring the Smoky Mountains and the Gatlinburg Aquarium. Next, the PCC students performed the pre-show at the Country Tonite Show in Pigeon Forge and at Graceland in Memphis. The students had a wonderful time touring together and the department is proud to support this wonderful program, said Misty Beck, theatre instructor.
The Performing Arts Department at Pratt Community College had 50 students this semester in theatre productions as well as vocal and instrumental music programs. Students are able to participate with other students as well as with community members. For more information about the Performing Arts Department, please contact Beck at email@example.com.
