Men’s Soccer shut out Independence Community College 8-0
The Beavers produced their best performance of the season on Friday, Sept. 21, against Independence Community College. Playing on an Independence field that was dry and bumpy, the Beavers led 7-0 going in to the half.
Defender Dominic Swinder led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists while Nik Bohne added 2 goals and Joe Pena,“Gordo” Rodriquez, and Braulio Morales each added one goal apiece. Gordon MacNab provided excellent service from the midfield and finished with 4 assists.
In the second half Nathan Garner scored his first goal for the Beavers with a fierce left foot shot.
“PCC played fine defense to keep ICC off the score sheet,” said Kewley” “The Beavers finished up with impressive 8-0 victory.”
Jacob Morse also saw his first action of the season, and Luis Soto came off the bench to get some time in the nets. This victory leaves the Beavers with a 4-4 record.
Next up for the Beavers is Allen Community College at home on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
