Men's Soccer Team Dominates In Opener Against Northern Oklahoma
Tonkawa, Okla. – The Men’s Soccer team travelled to Tonkawa, Okla. last Friday and opened the season in great style with a 1-0 victory against Northern Oklahoma College. After starting the game out slow, Pratt found their rhythm in the first half with Nik Bohne, Callum Strang and Braulio Morales all taking shots in and around the box.
Northern Oklahoma came into the game midway through the first half as they made a rare break on the Beaver goal only to be stopped by a save from goalie Scott Robertson. The breakthrough for the Beavers came from Jorge Rodriguez midway through the second half with a strike into the roof of the net, which put the Beavers up 1 to 0.
“Despite late pressure the Beavers defense, led by Joe Pena, held out to record the first victory of the season,” said Kevin Kewley, Men’s Soccer Coach.
The Men's Soccer team will travel to Kansas City Community College today to play the KCKCC Blue Devils today.
