Ceramics course allows students to be creative

Release Date:
Monday, July 02, 2012

For those with an interest in ceramics, a one hour course is being offered Thursday nights during July at Pratt Community College.

The course, which is open to community members, will be taught to all levels and will work with throwing on the wheel, as well as hand building.

“I will work with everyone on an individual basis so that those who need a lot of help can get it and those who just have a couple questions don’t have to start at the beginning,” said Marsh Shrack, instructor. “Everyone will be allowed to work at their own pace.”

Because everyone will be at different levels in the class, each person will decide what they are going to create.

The class will be offered Thursday nights from 6:15 to 9:55 p.m. The course will start on July 5 and will end on July 26.

“The class is a lot of fun and allows students to be creative. We have a good time,” Shrack said.
