Angood named top 12 in the country
Pratt Community College center fielder, Skylar Angood was one of 12 baseball players in the country named to the 2012 First Team Division I NJCAA All-American team.
“It is a very prestigious honor for him,” said Ryan Schmidt, head coach. “This award isn’t bestowed to just anyone and he deserved it after his monster season. He led our team to places we haven’t been before.”
Angood, a sophomore of Pratt, won the award based on individual statistics (.431 BA, 69 RBI, 11 HR, 14/15 stolen bases and a 1.000 fielding).
With these statistics, Angood helped lead his team to the Region VI finals, was named Jayhawk Conference unanimous 1st Team and conference Most Valuable Player.
This fall Angood will be attending Emporia State University where he will continue his baseball career.
