Pratt baseball met up with the Johnson County Cavaliers in the championship game and what a game it turned out to be. Bryant Theis put the Beavers on the board early by smacking a three run homerun in the top of the first inning.   After scoring one run in the second inning the Beavers were able to put up seven runs in the fourth inning to give them an 11 to nothing lead. That would not be enough, the cavaliers rallied to bring the score within six after scoring five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Pratt baseball was able to tack a couple more runs here and there to give themselves a 14-7 lead going into the bottom of the ninth innings. Johnson County had one last run left in them as they were able to score seven runs to tie the ball game and send it into extra innings. In the top of the tenth inning the first two Beavers went down in order, Aaron Stubblefield was able to draw a walk which brought Skylar Angood to the plate. Skylar Angood rose to the occasion and whacked a two run homerun to right center field to give the Beavers a two run lead. That would be enough for Brad Honeycutt who threw a scoreless tenth inning to close out the game and pick up the win. Jared Lupo, Jeremy Geist, and Tanner Johnson all had three hits on the day; Geist hit his third homerun on the weekend in the championship game.
