Britt Westman

Britt Westman is entering his first season at Pratt Community College. Westman will spend the 2012 season coaching the hitters and outfielders. 
 
During the 2011 summer Westman coached in the Andrew Country Kings baseball organization out of Savannah, Missouri. He was co-manager of a very successful 16 year old team.
 
Coach Westman held the title of graduate assistant for the baseball team at Northwest Missouri State University during the 2009 season. During his time coaching at NWMSU he worked primarily with the hitters and infielders. 
 
While studying at NWMSU, Westman earned his B.S. in Park Management in 2007, and his M.S. in Athletic Administration in 2009. He then went on to earn his A.A.S. in Air Traffic Control from Minneapolis Technical and Community College in 2011. 
 
Coach Westman’s collegiate playing career was spent at North West Missouri State University. Westman started all four years for the Bearcats. As a freshman Westman set school records for games played and at-bats. He had a successful career offensively and defensively for the Bearcats setting school records including runs batted in, hits, at bats, games played, walks, and put outs. Westman set the MIAA record for putouts with 1,732 in his four years. He was selected the MIAA all conference team four times and was also named to the academic all conference team in 2008, and the academic all-district team in 2007 and 2008. 
 
The New Market Rebels hosted Westman for the summers of 2006 and 2007. New Market is part of the prestigious Collegiate Valley Baseball League in Virginia. Westman helped the Rebels win the pennant in 2006 while setting a team record in wins under head coach Blain Brown. 
 
Prior to collegiate baseball Westman spent four years in the Kansas City Sluggers organization run by Dave Bingham. Ryan Schmidt and Eric Thomson were among the coaching staff that Westman played for in this organization. 
 
Westman attended Smithville High School in Smithville, Missouri where he was all conference in both baseball and basketball. He played first base, outfield, and filled the role as closer for the Warriors’ baseball team.
