| ACCEPTANCE FEE | Upon receipt of written notification from the Dean of Chandler School of Nursing and Allied Health of acceptance into the Nursing program, students will be required to pay a non-refundable fee of $400 to secure a slot in the Nursing program. This fee must accompany the letter of intent to accept a slot in the nursing program and be returned prior to the deadline noted in the acceptance letter. $300 of the fee will apply toward first semester tuition. $100 of the non-refundable deposit will go towards the uniforms. |

| NCLEX-RN REVIEW (IDS 298) | $233 special fee |
| ASSESSMENT TESTING | $140 special fee is assessed for NUR 201, 204 and 218. Plus test proctor fees - varies per site. |
| NURSING TEXTBOOKS | $2,000 |
| UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT | $250 Scrubs, polo, stethoscope, bandage scissors, goggles, pen light, black ink pens, watch with a secondhand, hemostat with teeth, picture name tag. Calculators are optional. |
| PHYSICAL EXAM | Students are required to have a physical exam. Physical exam costs (and any necessary immunizations, titers, lab work, etc.) will be paid by the student. It is strongly recommended that students complete the Hepatitis B series. Costs will vary for this series, but averages $120. |
| TRAVEL | All travel costs are at student's expense. Approximately 12 nights (this includes NCLEX-RN review and NUR 201) at Pratt - residence hall rooms are subject to availability for a nominal fee. Additional travel my be required for travel to clinical sites. |
| NCLEX-RN EXAM |
$297 This expense for applying to take the RN licensure exam must be paid in two money orders or cashier checks; (in the amount fo $200 made payable to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing for the national licensure exam, the second payable to the Kansas State Board of Nursing for $75 for state licensure). There are no refunds. |
| STUDENT NURSE LIABILITY INSURANCE | $36 for mandatory liability insurance ($18/session). This fee is for LIABILITY INSURANCE and is assessed as a special fee at enrollment. |
| STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE |
The Department of Nursing, in accordance with various clinical facility contracts, require Nursing students obtain and maintain health insurance. The student will be responsible for all medical expenses incurred through accident or illness at the clinical facility while present in the role as a Nursing student of Pratt Community College. The student will be required to submit a copy of their health insurance policy information along with other health requirements, to Certified Background. Just think....with the overal Kansas RN wage at $20.30, working 40 hrs/wk, assuming a 20% tax bracket, the entire program could be paid for in approximately 10 weeks! Now that's a worthwhile investment.
