PCC Wrestlers Compete in Missouri Tournament

The Pratt Community College Wrestling Team traveled to Warrensburg, Mo., on Sun., Nov. 13 to compete against some of the toughest competition in the Midwest once again. They competed against some BIG XII schools and against some of the top Division II Programs in the country including Missouri, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Oklahoma. The Beavers did well and competed in this tough tournament and gave their best efforts to get ready for the upcoming season. 
 
149         John Lynch went 2-2 with a loss to Jamal Parks who is currently ranked #2 in the country at Division 1 for Oklahoma State.
 
157         Keegan Smith went 1-2 on the day and lost two tough battles to the end of the match for the Beavers.
 
165         Sheldon Graves also went 1-2 for the day with a tough match against Oklahoma State University's Joe Ali where he lost 3-2 in the final seconds.
 
174         Landon "TUG" Keiswetter went 0-2 for the day to two tough wrestlers who were from Missouri Valley and the University of Missouri who placed in the tournament.
 
184         Taylor Baird went 1-1 before injury defaulting out of the tournament after wrestling the #8 ranked wrestler in the country at Division I for Oklahoma State University, Chris Perry, due to a pre-existing injury.
 
285         Tim Tuaquoi had the best day out of the wrestlers going 3-2 against some tough competition. He was two rounds away from placing and lost to a placer at the tournament.
 
“I am proud of our showing and how we do not back down from anyone,” said Ken Kepley, head coach. “We went out there and gave it all we had and had a fair day. We are getting better every day and doing the right things. We just have to make adjustments and move forward.”
