Withers Presents at Nursing Convention

Pratt Community College’s Dean of Nursing, Gail Withers, gave a presentation titled "New Nursing Faculty Mentoring" at the 25th Anniversary National Organization of Associate Degree Nursing Convention in Chicago on Nov. 5.
 
The development and delivery of the presentation was part of Withers’ Doctoral residency coursework at the University of Kansas. Co-presenting with her was her residency preceptor, Dr. Liane Connelly, Associate Dean at the University of Nebraska, School of Nursing. Withers and Connelly have developed a Nurse Faculty Mentoring Plan that will be modified to fit each of their respective programs, then implemented with faculty this fall. Withers and Connelly have also developed an article on New Nursing Faculty Mentoring to submit for publication.
