Two Soccer Players Earn Post Season Honors
Pratt Community College had two members of the Men’s Soccer Team earn post season honors. Charles Samushonga, sophomore goalkeeper, who had another outstanding season for the Beavers, was named First Team All-Region, and Second Team All-Conference. David Coulter, sophomore midfielder, who was again outstanding for the team, was named All-Conference Honorable Mention. This is the second straight year for post season honors for both David and Charles.
“It is a credit to Coach Kewley that he not only recruited two top soccer players but Chas (Charles) and David have been great ambassadors for our program,” said Kurt McAfee, PCC Athletic Director. “The whole student population loves these two guys and they are the ones leading the cheers at the volleyball and basketball games. They have been model citizens and with the second year of their selection to the All-Conference Team solidifies their place in PCC soccer history. They have helped us build a tradition and a reputation that we can grow in the coming years. David and Chas came across the pond not knowing what to expect, and they are now going to go on and play at four year institutions and continue to be good ambassadors for PCC and we couldn’t be prouder.”
