Kip Chambers’ Environmental Science class conducted their annual stream survey on the South Fork of the Ninnescah river in late September.  The survey has been done every year for the last nine years with the help and support of biologists from the environmental services department of KDWP.  The students do a habitat, biological and chemical assessment of a small section of the river.  The students collect and analyze data and write a formal report summarizing their observations and data.  The students always seem to enjoy this project, and the hands on experience of working with biologist in the field, provides them with a unique and rewarding learning opportunity.
