Women's BB Falls to Butler
The PCC Women's Basketball Team could not find their shooting touch in El Dorado on Saturday, falling to the Butler Grizzlies 42-59. The Beavers were hoping to put a healthier team out on the floor against Butler, but late season ful bugs have left the Beavers struggling to find five healthy players. The Beavers hope to be in better form on Wednesday for their last home game of the season against Hutchinson.
On Saturday, Pratt shot only 25 percent from the field in the first half, with Butler hitting at 41 percent. The Beavers improved to 38 percent in the second half while holding Butler to 35 percent. However, disparities in rebounds, 32-47, and turnovers, 21-18, kept the Beavers from making up much ground. Pratt also hit a season low 47 percent from the line.
Pratt was led on offense by Holly Martin's 14 and Cari Guyton's 10. Guyton was 100 percent from the field and 2 of 3 from the line. Martin hit 5 of 10 from the field and 4 of 8 from the line.
Pratt will host Hutchinson on Wednesday at 6:00pm in the Dennis Lesh Arena. This will be Sophomore Night, and the last home game of the season for the Beavers.
